Goo Goo Dolls Bend Concert reviews
Goo Goo Dolls with my son
The night started out a little slow as the opening act Blue October which were supposed to come on around 7pm to open on a Sunday evening actually came out closer to 7:45pm and played for around 1 hour. They weren’t bad but not who everyone was really out to see on a Sunday night in August.
The Goo Goo Dolls came out a little after 9pm and played almost until 11pm and played all their hits spread out among some of the older and newer lesser known music. Overall they rocked it for just the right amount of time, and even closed out the show with a cover of the great Tom Petty “Runnin’ Down A Dream” that was a great way to send the crowd home.
Did have an issue early into their set with a pair of chatty young 20 something girls sitting directly behind us in the Terrace Section, it got so bad 3-4 songs into the set that my son and I decided to move because they just would not stop talking during the songs. We ended up standing down on the concourse left of stage and enjoyed the show and the view much better from there.
Overall a nice Goo Goo Dolls experience and hopefully those young ladies enjoyed seeing each other again at the expense of everyone sitting around them…
